Did you know that WY is considering adopting the Next Generation Science Standards is something our state board is considering today? If adopted teachers will be asked to instruct our kids that the jobs that make Wyoming strong and that most of those whom I associate with and my own husband’s job, will be told is hurting humans!! We cannot allow this one sided opinion into our schools! Read the conclusion below and email our state board members whose email addresses I have included for you!
Read the “green” one sided opinion that will be foisted onto teachers and children if adopted:
Conclusion to NGSS states:
In the decades ahead, the continued growth of the world’s population along with technological advances and scientific discoveries will continue to impact the lives of our students. Whether or not they choose to pursue careers in technical fields, they will be asked to make decisions that influence the development of technologies and the direction of scientific research that we cannot even imagine today. Consequently, it is important for teachers to engage their students in learning about the complex interactions among science, technology, society and the environment.
